good workout today, took a while to get over the half on saturday but did my 5x1 mile run tonight. (on call tommorrow) Ran total of 8 miles with 5x1 at 7:00,7:15,7:08,7:19 and 7;08 with less than 3 min recovery between each. Was supposed to go 7;15-30, but had a hard time running that slow! Makes me realize how hard the race felt on saturday compared to the workout today. guess its all a matter of how you are feeling on any given day. Hills thurday, then 22 miles with zeitgeist on saturday!

prison break half- a little dissapointed at not breaking 1:40, but was not feeling great today and the race had some poorly timed hills at the end. i actually was pretty much on pace at 10miles, but suffered greatly on the 2 hills right near the end. thanks to monica for the pacing- think i would have done worse today without it.

Had to do the 3x2k alone today, could not get out of work in time for the group on tuesday- did it on the river trail- so ended up doing 1.2 mile repeats so i could use the dots! Was supposed to do 3x2k at 7:15 pace - ran 6:59, 7:06 and 6:58 pace! Felt hard but not at all unmanegable. Feeling good, should be there tommorrow for an easy run then the race at the prison break this weekend.

A good one again. Ran 20 today, with little to no help from the drinking, partying team that did not show up for the sat. run. Did get a few early miles with some of the more responsible members of team apex but ran the rest alone. 2:51 for the whole thing.
Ran 8:45 for the first 13+ miles then ran barber to boise 10k in 48:20. Ran the last 2.2 miles of the race at 7:35-40 pace! 8 min miles are starting to feel quite manageable. Kind of feel like i am ready and wish my marathon was sooner. This is the point at which i frequently go over the top and start feeling overtrained. Will need to be careful, only 2 20+ runs left! Half marathon race next weekend.

getting in shape! i ran 18 this weekend with dave- with a 5k thrown in at mile 13 at 24 min pace. took sunday off and did the 8x800s today as i am on call tommorrow and may or maynot be able to run. i was supposed to do 3:25 pace and managed- 3:12( mainly because christine olin was running in the other direction and made me feel like i was standing still!)3:23,3:22,3:22,3:25,3:20,3:24 and a good final one at 3:18
according to bart yasso, that means i can run a 3:25 marathon. Can i sue him if i dont break 3:30 at cal international?
